Insights from the YEIDA CEO
Arun Vir Singh has shared that the Yamuna Expressway Authority is going to put on the table a different scheme for the first time. Under this scheme, the plots will be 30 sqm each with the aim to target low income groups.
This income group is the one who will be getting employment opportunities through the upcoming airport and industries in Jewar. Interestingly, the price of these flats will fall between Rs 7.5 Lakhs to Rs 8 Lakhs. However, under the previous scheme, the size of the flat was 60sqm.
More About YEIDA Plots
These plots have been permitted two and a half story houses in sectors 17, 18, and 20. As per sources, the authority will offer a building to land ratio of 2 with 80% ground coverage.
In addition to this, the houses in these plots will also offer amenities like parks and shopping complexes in order to provide daily access to basic amenities. In the coming years, 500 more plots of size between 300sqm to 4000 will be there in sectors 18 and 20.
Current Scenario
As of now the allotment price of residential plots is Rs 25,000 sqm. The CEO further shared that these plots were left unallotted and a ground survey was conducted to detect these plots.
The previous year marked registration from over 1 lakh applicants for 1184 plots in sectors 16, 17, and 20 for plots of 60 sqm to 2000 sqm.
As of now, the authority is also planning to come up with schemes for residential townships, group housing societies, commercial and institutional areas, and industrial areas.
The 55% of the area will be for main activities and 5% will be for commercial and institutional activities. The leftover 35% will target parks, roads, and civic amenities.

In addition to this, the authority is also planning to allot two parcels of land of 2.5 acres each under the institutional category for children with special needs in sector 22 D. Two plots of five acres will be allotted for three senior secondary schools of the private sector in sector 22 D.
Furthermore, YEIDA will also be allotting land for nursing homes, religious buildings, hospitals, training centers, and many more. Apart from this, 91 plots of 4000 sqm and 62 plots of more than 4000 sqm will be available for toy parks, apparel parks, and handicraft parks.
In addition to this, 50 plots of 1000 sqm will be available for corporate offices in sector 22E and 11 plots for shopping complexes in Sector 22 A and D.
